Rizzardi Bardolino Classico

The grapes for our Bardolino Classico DOC are grown on our estate vineyards situated in the Bardolino DOC Classico area. These vineyards, influenced by the micro-climate created by Italy's largest body of water, Lake Garda, is ideal for growing high quality grapes. Guerrieri Rizzardi has long been a champion of native, indigenous grapes and Corvina make up 70% of the blend of this wine along with Rondinella, Merlot, Molinara and Sangiovese. The grapes are naturally farmed and harvested. The wine is then fermented and aged in neutral stainless steel tanks, with no influence of oak barrels prior to bottling.

Sunday Business Post

"2006:…the Corvina is blended with an exciting assembly of Rondinella, Merlot and Molinara. The resulting wine is raised in concrete and steel tanks, rather than in oak barrels. It offers a vibrant, high, fruit-filled raspberry palate, hints of spice and a lifted, punchy finish. Ideal with chicken chasseur or Thai green chicken curry."
