Rose de Tourelles Longueville

One of the most delicious dry roses we have ever tried, no surprise really as it is coming from the excellent Château Pichon Longueville. This is most definitely a food rose and comes alive with fresh baked trout/sardines. Vibrant redcurrant and raspberry flavours here but with a great mouth-watering freshness, serve lightly chilled.

"This is a real treat. The nose is more like a regular red - it is dense and mildly plum-like - while the palate is like a lighter version of a Pauillac. It's made from cabernet franc and the blackcurrant, cedar and light violet notes will have you convinced this is a full-on red. However the lifted and decidedly crisp finish shows its rosé credentials. Drink it with well-herbed lam, balsamic-laced nutty salads and perhaps char grilled peppers."
