For many people in the wine world Spain is Europe's answer to the rounded fruit-driven wines of the new world. Taste an oaked Monastrell/Tempranillo blend from Jumilla and you could be forgiven for thinking it's an Australian Barossa Valley red. Throughout Spain wines are becoming more modern and polished yet crucially in the classic regions they still manage to retain their regional and Spanish typicity. The wines of Rioja, Navarra and Ribera del Duero have never been as good.
Selected by Wine Spectator as a “Top Value wine” this is consistently our top selling wine that massively over delivers in the level of quality it offers for the money.

The label would suggest this is traditional Rioja with lots of vanilla and tinned strawberry, yet lurking behind that is darker sinewy fruit giving added structure and depth of flavour. A very stylish wine.
