San Felice Perolla Rosso

Coming from the Maremma Coast in Tuscany and made from a single vineyard of 25 year old vines composed of 55% Merlot, 35% Sangiovese and 10% Syrah. There is great fruit here, classic Tuscan raisined wild cherry and dark chocolate. Cracking wine at this level.

The Irish Times

"A supple, rounded fruit-bomb with surprisingly good concentration of juicy ripe cherry and rich plum fruits. There is plenty of spice there, too, and very good length."
Vintage 2008: John Wilson - 01 May 2010

Irish Independent

"...supple red fruit, combining the plummy juiciness of Merlot (55pc), with added Italian attitude from the Chianti grape, Sangiovese (35pc, think cherries) laced off with some Syrah richness (think chocolate). A good all rounder ... try it with Italian meatballs..."
Vintage 2008: Katherine Donnelly - 29 May 2010
