Seguin-Manuel
Seguin-Manuel
Burgundy, France

Seguin-Manuel was founded in 1824 in the Côte-d’Or region of Burgundy. It was purchased by Thibaut Marion in 2004 and currently farms 8.5 hectares across some of the best vineyard sites in Burgundy.

Burgundy experiences a continental climate, characterised by cold winters and warm summers with hail and frost a perennial threat. The best vineyard sites are located on the gentle sunward slopes of the Côte d’Or where the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes can ripen evenly and consistently. Seguin-Manuel owns vineyards across all levels of Burgundy, from Bourgogne Rouge and Blanc to some of the choicest Premier and Grand Cru sites. All vineyards have been certified organic since 2015.

Owner and winemaker, Thibaut Marion, is the tenth generation of his family in the business. He practices limited intervention winemaking to allow the best of the Burgundy terroir be expressed. In the winery Thibaut uses a large proportion of French oak for fermentation and maturation, as well as stainless steel.
