Brewed according to a time honoured tradition, Franziskaner Hefe is made from a combination of wheat malt, barley malt, hops, top-fermenting yeast and water.It is deep gold in colour with an agreeable cloudiness; a well balanced expression of this style.
In 1634 the order of the Paulaner monks began brewing beer in the Au, laying the foundation stone for todays Paulaner brewery. Paulaner has now been producing the best of beers for 375 years and is considered to be one of the best breweries in Munich.
The recipe for Urweiss dates back to the brewery's founding days over 120 years ago. It owes its distinctive, traditional weissbier flavour to a special malt, a different hop variety and a special yeast. A particularly strong, spicy aroma, adistinctive yeast flavor and an unmistakable top-fermenting beer profile.
Erdinger Heffe is brewed using fine yeast according to a traditional recipe and, of course, in strict accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law. Even today, the beer is still bottle-fermented in the traditional way; it takes three to four weeks for it to mature. Only the finest ingredients are used and years of experience and constant quality checks guarantee the beer's unmistakable flavour.
Erdinger's master brewers have succeeded in retaining the aromatic, full-bodied Erdinger character, but without the alcohol. It is this unique flavor which has spread the fame of Erdinger Weissbrõu far beyond the borders of Germany.

A strong amber-coloured, yeasty cloudy wheat beer. Pours a thick frothy head on a creamy body. The dark malt gives caramel and dark fruit flavours over yeasty banana bread and lemon notes. Finishes with some spicy clove and earthy herbal hops.
A tart, light beer, but black as night. It brings together that classic German bready malt character & a bright lemon tartness. Notes of hay & grain with a subtle hint of cola and coffee on the finish.
