This is an exciting time to be a craft beer drinker with the quality and variety of craft beer being produced in Ireland getting better all the time. Over the next few weeks I will pick out some great Irish craft beers and ciders, highlighting some recent arrivals to our shelves. With so many to choose from it will be a hard task.
This week I have decided to concentrate on the ever popular pale ales and IPAs. First up is the juicy and tropical Wicklow Wolf Elevation pale ale. This limited release came out in December last year but stocks are running out so definitely one to try if you haven’t already.
Another seasonal that came out at the end of last year is the Snoweater form Eight degrees Brewing. This Red IPA has a big caramel malt impact cut through with spicy hops. It proved so popular that the guys in Eight Degrees had to brew a second batch in January.
My last pick this week, but certainly not the least is the Wired IPA form our friends over at Trouble Brewing. This is an approachable IPA bursting with zesty, tropical fruit on a smooth oatmeal body.So fresh it hadn’t even got a label when I got to try it recently.
With mix and match on over 130 great Irish craft beers and ciders there is a lot to choose from. Check out the sale here.
