Prosecco can justifiably claim to be Ireland’s favourite fizz, so I was not at all surprised with the palpable sense of panic in the air this summer, when suggestions of a possible Prosecco shortage first hit the headlines.
With that in mind, it gives me great pleasure to report that 2015 looks like it should be an exceptionally good vintage in the Veneto region, where Prosecco is produced.
Thanks to near perfect weather conditions throughout the growing season, this year’s crop of Glera grapes (Proseccois made exclusively fromGlera) promises to deliver both on quality and quantity. The images below showjust how perfectly ripe and healthy these grapes are.
I’m delighted to say that the good news on Prosecco just keeps on coming here at O’Briens, starting today we have 25% off all Prosecco.
Prices start at just €8.99 and the promotion runs until 10pm next Wednesday October 14th,
So why not pop in to your local O’Briens store and pick up a bottle or two
