Now in its fifth year the Irish Craft Beer Festival is returning to Dublin’s RDS this weekend. With doors opening Thursday 27th and running until Sunday 29th. This year there will be no shortage of Irish craft beer and cider with 50 brewers and 200 plus beers, ciders and whiskeys to try.
O’Brien’s is proud to be the wrist band sponsor for the event. Present your wrist band in any O’Brien’s store and get 6 craft beers for the price of 5!!! (T&C’s apply)
So who to look out for:
Riding high with both commercial and critical success, the always excellent 8° Brewing are one to keep an eye on for this year’s event. The award winning Full Irishis definitely one to try if you haven’t already.
It was at a previous year’s Irish Craft Beer Festival that brothers Barry, Brian and Padhraig of O Brother first decided to dedicate themselves to brewing. This will be my first chance to taste their brews, which should hopefully be landing in stores late September.
Hailing from Carraroe in the heart of Connemara, Independent Brewing are garnering a loyal following. Their Connemara Gold Aleis a great introduction to the range.
