What to try something new?

We have great line-up in our Irish Whiskey Sale, but it’s not just the reliable stalwarts on offer. We are always on the lookout for get Irish whiskey, so here is a selection of some of our more recent additions, great whiskeys all.

Lambay Small Batch Blend (Was €41.95/Now €36.95) is the product of a partnership between the Baring family, owners of Lambay Island, and the Camus family who bring five generations of experience producing cognac. This is one of two Lambay Whiskeys recently released, being a blend of malt and grain whiskey, aged in bourbon barrels and finished in Cognac casks. Expect floral and citrus notes melded with cracked almond and pepper spicing.

The Dubliner 10 year old (Was €49.95/Now €44.95) is another recent addition to our shelves from a brand planning to bring more whiskey distilling to the heart of Dublin, developing  a new whiskey distillery and visitor centre in the Liberties area. This single malt is fully matured in casks that previously held Kentucky bourbon. A soft and elegant whiskey displaying floral, vanilla, chocolate and honeyed notes with a long dry spice finish

The Irishman Caribbean Cask (Was €59.00/Now €54.00) I'm leaving Dublin and heading to Carlow for my next pick from the Walsh Whiskey Distillery. This limited release whiskey is a blend of pot still and single malt aged in bourbon cask and finished in Chairman’s Reserve Rum casks for six months. Apricot, banana & fig matched with oak spice flavours abound with plenty of tropical fruit notes from the rum finish.

Connacht Brothership (Was €79.95/Now €69.00) Now for something a little different, we continue our travels west to Connacht and in fact across the Atlantic. This unique whiskey is an ode to the Irish-American partnership that brought the distillery to life with a 10-year-old Irish single malt blended with a 10-year-old American whisky. Floral, zesty and spicy on the nose. These carry to the flavour along with Fudge dried fruits vanilla and oak.
