Once seen as a niche product, consumption of organic wine is now growing faster than that of conventional vintages.
Many Organic producers are now making innovative & delicious wines as good as or better than anything made by conventional methods
Here at O’Briens, we have for a long time been supporters of this shift in thinking, and I have picked out just a few of my organic favourites from right across the wine-growing world below.
From Sicily, Il Grillo di Santa Tresa Spumante has the perfect balance of fruit & acidity for a fresh-style sparkling wine.
Moving to the South of France, Les Auzines Fleurs Blanches is made from Grenache Gris and is a rich, complex and thoroughly delicious white.
If we cross the border into Spain we find Solo Tinto, a red that is full to bursting with blackberry fruit and super smooth.
For my last choice, we have to cross not just the Atlantic Ocean but also the Andes to reach Coyam, an incredibly rich and intensely-flavoured red that comfortably sits at the top table, as one of the very best wines from Chile.
