Would the rain stay away? This was the question on everyone’s lips as the days wound down to the start of this year’s Big Grill Festival which took place in Herbert park last weekend. Celebrating its second year this year’s festival promised a fantastic line up of beers, bbq’s, food and a great day out, not forgetting the wines provided by O’Briens!
In preparation for the festival Lynne Coyle our head of wine buying selected a range of summer reds, whites and a rosé to complement the flame grilled offerings as well as Prosecco to lift the party spirit!
Our suppliers and colleagues from the craft beer world were all there in force including Kinnegar, Franciscan Well, Porterhouse, Trouble brewing, 8 Degrees, Blacks of Kinsale, McIvors & Craigie’s cider.
Luckily the sun shone and the rain stayed away for the whole weekend! We met lots of new customers as well as some familiar faces, our sampling bar with 3 wine tastings for 1 Smokin was a big hit and our €10 off coupons were well received!
