Our Wines in the Press

Our Wines in the Press

In my blog last week, I highlighted some of our wines which had recently picked up awards at the big international wine competitions, so for today’s blog, I thought I’d look a little closer to home, and feature some of our wines which have been reviewed in the Irish Press over the last few weeks.

Delheim Chenin Blanc 2016

“Delicious textured juicy peach fruits with mouth-watering acidity. Perfect with lightly spicy prawn and chicken curries.”

John Wilson, the Irish Times 01/07/2017

Atalon Pauline’s Cuvée 2011

“This beautiful Pomerol-style Merlot is a stunner. With an intense aroma of ripe plums, cherries and a touch of spice, this beautifully structured wine is rewarding on the palate. Worth every cent.”

Corinna Hardgrave, Irish Independent 01/07/2017

Cambria Julia’s Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012

“This beautifully crafted Pinot Noir is awash with lots of red fruit — rich cherry and raspberry with notes of vanilla and spice. Perfect for a special occasion.”

Corinna Hardgrave, Irish Independent 01/07/2017

Delheim Pinotage Rosé 2016

“This South African rosé never fails to impress. From the soft summer fruit nose (strawberries & raspberries) to the delicate, fruity and refreshing palate this is a winner.

Matthew Nugent, the Irish Sun 01/07/2017

Pouca Roupa Branco 2016

“Wonderful freshness with citrus and tropical fruit notes on the palate. Good length on the finish.”

Matthew Nugent, the Irish Sun 01/07/2017

Pazo Señorans Albariño 2016

“A classic Albariño which is beautifully structured with flavours of grapefruit, apricot, peach and a touch of lime, the tingling acidity and pronounced mineral edge make this wine deliciously refreshing.”

Corinna Hardgrave, Irish Independent 15/07/2017

Gérard Bertrand Cigalus 2014

“A cabernet-led blend that looks pricey but oozes class. It could easily be mistaken for a more expensive cru classé Bordeaux.”

Martin Moran MW, the Sunday Times 06/08/2017

Domaine Begude ‘Terroir 11300’ 2016

“Superb, racy, succulent pears with a backbone of acidity. It will change your mind about Chardonnay.”

John Wilson, the Irish Times 12/08/2017

Ars in Vitro 2013

“An unfiltered, unoaked blend of Merlot and Tempranillo, which has layers of juicy dark fruit with flavours dark berries, damsons and a savoury balance.”

Corinna Hardgrave, Irish Independent 12/08/2017

Les Auzines Hautes Terres 2015

“This is a blend of, grenache, syrah and old vine carignan with concentrated blackberry fruits and a light, herbal touch on the finish.”

Leslie Williams, Irish Examiner 12/08/2017

Quinta Nova 2015
