After the hail and snow of last week, it thankfully seems that spring has sprung, and just in time as we as a nation have a lot to celebrate over the coming weeks.
Whether for Easter or St.patrick’s day, this is the time of year when we start see those larger family gatherings happening again.
So to help with planning I have picked out below a few rock-solid wine choices which are sure to please even the fussiest of crowds.
For the white I would suggest a crisp, clean Sauvignon such as Cuvée de Brizay which is brand new to us from the Loire or the white wine I consider to be the perfect all-rounder a Macon such as Cave de Lugny Macon Lugny.
Moving on to reds and sticking with the theme of all-rounders, I find it hard to beat a good Cote de Rhone such as Ortas Reserve.
For my last choice I am going with a Rioja which works beautifully with the spring lamb I know so many of you will be enjoying at Easter, Marques de Murrieta.
