Check out this video we did that will help explain what happens at the Wine Fair:
Not only does the ticket price include all wine samples but the winemakers themselves are in attendance, so this is the perfect opportunity to try some new wines AND glean some extra knowledge from the very best in the business!
There will be representation fromLoire, Burgundy, Bordeaux and Champagne from France plus many more, Spain, Chile, Argentina, Portugal, Australia, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa and USA!
To whet your appetite I have picked out below just a few of the winemakers who will be flying in for the weekend.
Cantine Ascheri Giacomo: Very few Barolo estates can compete with the purity and elegance achieved by Matteo Ascheri. His wines have a grace and charm that is almost Burgundian. Minimal intervention is the practice here, Matteo believes strongly in letting the grapes and the soil speak for themselves and the results are astounding.
Astrolabe: Simon and Jane Waghorn are familiar figures in wine fairs around the world when Simon is not up to his arms in grape juice they are representing their wines at every major market in the world. Widely acclaimed as one of New Zealand's finest winemakers Simon imbued his Astrolabe wines an almost cult status.
Longview Vineyards: Peter Saturno and his brother Mark oversee all vineyard and winemaking practices at their property in the Adelaide Hills. Making wines entirely from their own vineyards, they are true cool climate grape growing champions. Their wines show restraint but have true finesse and depth.
