The O’Briens Club

Due to the Public Health Alcohol Act 2018 – Section 23, which comes into effect on 11th January 2021, O’Briens are required to make changes to our current loyalty scheme to bring it in line with the new legislation.

From 11th October 2020 customers will no longer be able to earn points with purchases. Be assured your already earned points are safe and ready for you to spend and enjoy until close of business 10th January 2021.

We are delighted to let you know that in October we will be introducing an exciting new program of extra special offers and discounts, exclusive to O’Briens Club members, which will be communicated via email.

Can I still earn points?

Customers can earn points with their purchases until close of business 11th October 2020, after this date instead of points your custom will be rewarded in different ways which will be communicated by email. This will include exclusive offers & discounts, early ‘pre-sale’ access and future tastings and events.

Any points that you have previously earned can still be used until close of business 10th January 2021, after this date the points will expire, and will no longer be able to be used against purchases in O’Briens due to the  Public Health Alcohol Act 2018 – Section 23, which comes into effect on 11th January 2021. 

Until then you can redeem your points in store - by showing your O’Briens card (which must be registered) or online - when you sign into your online account that your card is registered to.

Do I still need to keep my O’Briens card?

YES YOU MUST KEEP YOUR O’BRIENS CARD, not only to redeem the balance of your points in store until close of business 10th January 2021 but you will also need it to unlock any future O’Briens Club offers. Online customers do not need a card if they are signed into their online account.

Can I still redeem my already earned points?

What happens if I have not registered my card?

Your card must be registered to your account in order to redeem your points before close of business 10th January 2021.

How do I redeem/spend my points?

You can redeem you points in store - by showing your registered O’Briens card at the till or online - when you sign into your online account that your card is registered to. Do I need to have a certain amount of points collected before I can redeem them?

No, you can spend any points that are on your registered card or account on wine, beer or spirits in O’Briens.
