Now one of the largest independent wineries in New Zealand, Sherwood Estate was started by Jill and Dayne Sherwood back in 1987.

Its winery and five vineyard sites are located in the Waipara Valley, on the East coast of New Zealand’s South Island. The valley has been called New Zealand’s coolest little wine region and it’s growing fast, too, thanks to excellent growing conditions. The Sherwoods make the most of this unique climate, making wines that have a loyal fan base at home and abroad.
