In this case you will receive one bottle of each of the following wines-
Bodegas Riojanas Borisa Rioja Reserva, Rioja, Spain
Rioja is the most important wine region in Spain, and one of the best-known regions in the world. This is a limited-edition Rioja Reserva from the multi-award-winning Bodegas Riojanas Monte Real: silky-smooth with good fruit intensity, fine acidity, polished tannins and a balanced persistent finish.
Altos de Luzón, Jumilla, Spain
Moving to the little-known southeast region of Jumilla, where the heat-loving Monastrell grape is king. Bodegas Luzón was founded in 1841 and is now owned by the Fuertes family, who have invested heavily. This is a rich and full-bodied red wine that makes a great alternative to modern Rioja.
Lagar de Costa Albariño, Rías Baixas, Spain
This wine comes from the small idyllic Costa family vineyards that run right down to the beach on the Galician coast. The proximity to the wild Atlantic gives this wine a refreshing saline minerality that beautifully complements the greengage, peach and apricot fruits. Floral and aromatic with beautifully balanced citrus acidity this is an exceptional Albariño.
Rubiejo Barrica, Ribera del Duero, Spain
In Ribera del Duero, the smaller-berried clone of Tempranillo is known locally as Tinto Fino and tends to make wines with a more intensely structured palate and darker berry fruit than in nearby Rioja. Rubiejo Barrica is a great introduction to the region, with just enough oak to add a warming, toasty complexity, but not so much as to overwhelm the primary fruit character.
Pazo de Mar Treixadura, Ribeiro, Spain
The little-known Ribeiro region is an exciting Galician wine producing area. This example comes from the boutique, family-owned Pazo do Mar estate. It offers classic cool climate fruit profile, predominantly green apple and citrus, but with nice underlying stone fruit and floral notes. The finish is wonderfully long and refreshing.
Gargalo Godello, Monterrei, Spain
Another exciting Galician white wine producing region Located in the Monterrei region of Galicia across the water gorge of the Tamega River, this area is the warmest and driest in Galicia which suits the Godello grape perfectly, allowing its aromas and flavours to develop into a rounded textural wine.
