What is Aperol, exactly? 

Created in Padova in 1919, Aperol is an Italian apéritif. Its ingredients include orange and rhubarb root which give it a distinctive bitter-sweet flavour. A long-time favourite among Italians as a pre-dinner drink, it now has a firm fanbase around the world.

What are the ingredients in an Aperol Spritz?

It's a simple mix of just three main ingredients - Prosecco, soda and, of course, Aperol along with plenty of ice and fresh orange slices.  You can get all your Aperol Spritz essentials in just a few clicks thanks to our handy Aperol & Montelvini Prosecco kit, e33, which contains a bottle of Aperol some Prosecco. Method 

  1. Fill a large wine glass with plenty of ice
  2. Add 3 parts Prosecco (75ml), then 2 parts Aperol (50ml)
  3. Add a dash of soda (25ml) and stir
  4. For a finishing touch, garnish with an all-important orange slice and that's it!
