The Penfolds winery was founded in 1844 by Dr Christopher Penfold and his wife Mary, at the Magill Estate near Adelaide in South Australia. Today Penfolds farm some of the finest vineyard sites across South Australia’s most recognisable wine regions, including the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Eden Valley, and Coonawarra, and is widely regarded as Australia’s most iconic wine brand.
