Cantine Su'entu
Cantine Su'entu
Sardinia, Italy

Su'entu is a family-run winery on the Italian island of Sardinia. The hot Mediterranean summers are tempered by cooling sea breezes (Su'entu means 'wind' in the local dialect), which help to retain a freshness in the sustainably farmed grapes.

Founded by Salvatore Pilloni, today, the winery is led by Valeria and Roberta Pilloni, who focus on local Sardinian grapes such as white Vermentino and red Cannonau.

Sustainable farming is at the core of their approach, with great care taken to respect biodiversity and the environment. Once-abandoned vineyards now provide a home to fourteen species of birds and small mammals.

The wines capture Sardinia’s sun, while that titular wind helps moderate the climate. Vermentino is a vibrant white with wildflower and tropical fruit notes, and a saline minerality on the finish. Cannonau features floral and berry aromas, paired with savoury complexity.
