A long-time O'Briens favourite, Château Fourcas Hosten is now owned by Hermès family heirs and the estate has seen significant investment. Every year, the quality goes up and it offers excellent value for money.
With origins dating back to the 18th century, Château Fourcas Hosten has long been a fixture in the Listrac-Médoc region. Since then, they have invested in both the vineyards and the château itself, combining architectural restoration with a renewed focus on viticulture.
The estate is now practicing organic farming across its 50 hectares and emphasizes biodiversity and environmental stewardship. The red will be certified organic from the 2021 vintage. The team, led by a dedicated group of viticulturists and winemakers, continues to build on the estate’s legacy, crafting wines that reflect the character of the land and the values of its custodians.
