Based in the Touraine village of Pouillé, the Delaunay family have been winemakers in the Loire Valley for 5 generations. Thierry Delaunay has run the 37 hectare estate since 2003, producing a range of fresh varietal wines.
The climate in the Loire Valley is cool, influenced by the Cher and Loire rivers. This helps keep freshness and acidity in the estate’s wines. The vineyards are farmed sustainably to ensure a rich diversity and balance of life in the soil. Sauvignon Blanc is the estate’s most important grape variety and is planted across two-thirds of the family’s vineyards.
Winemaker Thierry Delaunay produces a range of fresh and zesty wines typical of Touraine. Generations of winemaking traditions are married to modern winemaking techniques, utilising stainless steel and in-house bottling facilities.
