Cusumano
Sicily, Italy

Sicily, Italy’s largest island, is a land of dramatic landscapes and ancient viticulture. Founded in 2001 by brothers Alberto and Diego Cusumano, Cusumano is a leading estate that is bringing Sicilian wines to the global stage.

Cusumano is a family-run winery based in Partinico, Sicily. Their philosophy aims to produce wines that have a strong regional identity. All grapes are estate-grown and hand-harvested, with wines crafted in a modern Sicilian style that emphasises personality and character. Consulting winemaker Mario Ronco has guided the estate since its founding.

They always wanted to build a winery among the fertile, volcanic soils of Mt. Etna and the Alta Mora vineyards are planted at high altitude, up to 1,200m, along the slopes of the active volcano. These unique vineyards are producing some of the most exciting wines in Italy today. The red Nerello Mascalese shares many similarities with a Nebbiolo or Pinot Noir and the white Carricante impresses with its elegance and minerality.
