Domaine Eric Louis is a family-owned and run 32 hectare estate located in the village of Sancerre in the Loire Valley in France.
MEET THE WINEMAKERS
The climate is temperate with a continental influence, the growing season is dry and average day time summer temperatures are around 26ºC, perfect conditions for growing Sauvignon Blanc.
The main wines made are Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé and Menetou-Salon with the Sauvignon Blanc for the Sancerre growing on flinty and chalky, clay based soils. The estate is certified in its ecological farming practises and is in conversion to organic status.
Eric and Sophie look for delicacy and a lively acidity in their wines along with vibrant fruit character and a stony undertone.
