Chablis’ climate is semi-continental with hot summers and long harsh winters with frost and hail a perennial hazard. The soils are characterised by limestone and clay with the best sites on Kimmeridgean soils. Domaine Brocard are Chardonnay specialists with sites across each level of Chablis, from Petit Chablis to Grand and Premier Crus. The family are organic pioneers with 60 hectares of vines committed to organic viticulture and a further 40 hectares biodynamically farmed.

In the winery, father and son team of Jean-Marc and Julien craft wines with the philosophy of force, freshness and precision. They use a mix of stainless steel and high-grade French oak in the winery.
