Family-owned and run, Guerrieri Rizzardi can trace their winemaking history back to 1649. There are over 80 hectares across three Veneto estates in Bardolino, Valpolicella and Soave.
MEET THE WINEMAKERS
The Veneto climate is continental and for its reds the Rizzardi estate grows mainly Merlot and the local Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes and for white, Garganega and Chardonnay for their Soave.
Farming takes place across 70 different vineyard plots with vines up to 45 years old. Local plant diversity is encouraged in the vineyards and high quality work in the vineyards though-out the year facilitates low intervention winemaking in the cellar.
The estates son, Giuseppe Rizzardi, manages the vineyards and makes the wines. Giuseppe works with elegance, variety and terroir authenticity as his motto.
