Jean-Luc Colombo produces a range of elegant wines across the Rhône Valley, on a diverse variety of soils, but he secured his reputation in the small Northern Rhône appellation of Cornas. The climate here is continental and shielded from the mistral winds. The only permitted grape variety is Syrah , which clings to steep, sandy vineyards up to 400m altitude. Other notable varieties that the winery vinify are Grenache , Viognier, Roussanne and Clairette.

Jean-Luc Colombo and his daughter, Laure, farm their vineyards organically and are strong advocates for maintaining healthy vineyard ecosystems.

Never shy to move past traditions, Jean-Luc crafts elegant Rhône wines with a modern twist. Stainless steel and French oak are used in their new winery.
