Maison Salasar is a family-run winery in the Limoux appellation of the Languedoc in the foothills of the Pyrenees, specialising in traditional-method sparkling wines.
Founded in 1890, Maison Salasar is based in the village of Campagne-sur-Aude, where the cool Pyrenean climate provides ideal conditions for making sparkling wine. The estate focuses on Crémant de Limoux, using classic grapes such as Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir. Their philosophy combines respect for heritage with a commitment to finesse, employing hand-harvesting and traditional bottle fermentation to ensure quality and character. Generations of knowledge guide the winemaking, producing cuvées that balance freshness, fruit, and fine mousse. Today, Maison Salasar is recognised for elegant sparkling wines that embody the unique terroir and long tradition of Limoux, one of the world’s earliest sparkling wine regions.
