Weingut Lingenfelder
Weingut Lingenfelder
Pfalz, Germany

Lingenfelder was founded in 1520 in the Pfalz region of Germany's western border. The 15 hectare estate is now run by the 13th and 14th generation of the founder’s family, Rainer Lingenfelder and his sons.

The Pfalz enjoys perfect conditions for viticulture with long, warm, dry summers. This climate is perfect for growing the traditional aromatic German grape varieties favoured by Lingenfelder, including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Scheurebe and Dornfelder. The estate is sustainably farmed, as Rainer firmly believes that great wines are created in the vineyard.

The same philosophy follows into the winery, where Rainer practices minimum intervention winemaking. All wines are fermented with wild yeasts in stainless steel and large format Palatinate oak casks.
