Whitehaven Wines
Whitehaven Wines
Marlborough, New Zealand

Located in Marlborough, New Zealand and established in 1994 by Sue & Greg White. The team at Whitehaven Wines now farm 200 hectares across 45 vineyard plots.

The climate in Marlborough is cool Maritime, with cool summers and moderate winters. Even in the height of the summer the region experiences cool nights, which help to retain freshness and acidity in the wines. Whitehaven own vineyards across all three sub-regions of Marlborough, so the soils are varied but tend to be free draining. The main grapes grown at Whitehaven are the cool-climate varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling for the white wines and Pinot Noir for the reds.

Using modern temperature-controlled stainless-steel winemaking, the Whitehaven team craft a range of fresh and varietally pure wines that exhibit the best terroir in Marlborough.
