BBQ & Roasts
Description
Altano Rewilding from the Douro Valley is an environmental conservation project between the Symington Family winery and Rewilding Portugal. This not-for-profit project protects and restores 120,000-hectares of wildlife corridor in the Greater Côa Valley in northern Portugal and will be financially supported by this wine. The card bag-in-tube format 2.25 litres contains the equivalent of three bottles and is easily recyclable, and has a much lower carbon footprint than the equivalent volume in glass. Altano Rewilding has aromas of herbs underpinned by bright notes of red berries and cherries. On the palate there is rich, succulent pomegranate, and black plum notes, complemented by soft-grained tannins, which provide good structure followed by a lingering finish with hints of tea leaf and tobacco spice.
