Matteo Ascheri represents the sixth generation of winemakers at his historic family estate in Piedmont, Italy. He specialises in crafting distinctive wines using local grape varieties, with a philosophy rooted in minimal intervention. Matteo describes his approach as making “acoustic wines,” allowing the grapes to express their character naturally, and showcasing the unique terroir of the region with a light touch.

This Barolo is a beautifully structured, complex wine that embodies all the hallmarks of classic Barolo, yet with a softer fruit profile and a roundness on the palate that makes it approachable at a younger age.
