Description

Matteo Ascheri represents the sixth generation of wine producers at his historic family estate. He specialises in distinctive wines that express a sense of place and the Nebbiolo grape. This one, Barolo Matteo Ascheri, with its stylish retro label from seventy years ago is usually only available at the winery and a few small wine shops (“enotecas”) in Italy. It’s full of fruit and spice notes with a freshness on the finish. Unmissable.

Tasting Note

Richly laden with ripe fruit, spices, and sweet tobacco. Tannins are velvety, and the palate has a fresh note and silky fruit on the finish.
