Description

Chanson is one of the major owners of the celebrated Premier Cru Clos de Mouches vineyard. Ideally located on a sunny site, the vineyard is planted on limestone subsoil covered with sand. Made from hand-harvested Chardonnay, the wine is aged on its lees in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new, in the Domaine's 15th-century Bastion cellars. This refined Burgundy white is suited to special occasions and elegant food pairing. Serve with roast poultry, creamy fish dishes, shellfish or Comté cheese.

Tasting Note

This top Chardonnay shows floral fragrances (acacia) mixed with citrus fruit aromas, green almond & a hint of spice. Well-balanced with good tension, precision and a full texture. The aftertaste is long and generous with a hint of minerality.
