Bowmore is the first licensed Islay distillery. It has stood on the shores of Lochindaal, a sea loch opening out into the wild Atlantic Ocean, since 1779. Bowmore 12 Year Old is a classic Islay single malt, combining the distillery's signature gentle peat smoke with maturation in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. Its balance of smoky, sweet and fruity character makes it an excellent introduction to Islay whisky. Enjoy it neat, with a splash of water.

Tasting Note

A warm amber colour this Whiskey has subtle lemon and honey aromas, balanced beautifully by Bowmore's trademark smokiness. Warm and delicious on the palate with dark chocolate flavours lead to the long mellow finish of the gentle peat smoke.
