Description

Château Rieussec is owned by the prestigious Château Lafite-Rothschild. This is the second wine of the house, but commands, as much care and attentionas their grand vin. Sauternes is a sweet style ofwine made with grapes affected by Botrytis, cinerea, whereby they shrivel and rasin on the vine concentrating the sugars and flavours. These grapes are meticulously, hand-picked over successive vineyard passes before a long fermentation process and18 months aging in oak.

Tasting Note

The result is, this luscious dessert wine with a candied fruit, honey and saffron palate balanced by a refreshing acidity.
