Nutty, amber & elegantly dry
palomino
19%
Tapas, Nuts & Olives

Description

Sherry is trending right now, discovered by a new generation of wine drinkers and embraced by the cocktail scene. Amontillado starts as Fino under flor yeast, then develops further once the flor falls away, taking on amber colour and a dry, nutty character that is perfectly suited for the table.

Cayetano del Pino is considered a leading specialist producer of fine and rare sherry styles from Jerez. Their Amontillado undergoes an average of eighteen years of ageing in a traditional solera. This half bottle is the ideal format for discovering the style.

Serve at 12-14°C with paella, artichokes or mushrooms on toast.

Tasting Note

A vivid, intense Amontillado with lifted notes of orange peel, ginger and wood spice with a long and complex savory finish.
