Château Dauzac is a historic Médoc estate, dating to the early 17th century and located in Bordeaux’s prestigious Margaux Appellation. Its vineyards were planted by the famous Irish Lynch family and the quality of its wines were recognised in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, when it was designated a 5ème Cru Classé. The estate has been through a number of owners, but there has been a persistent air of innovation surrounded the estate: from being pioneers of temperature-controlled fermentation, to the current shift towards sustainability and biodynamic farming practices.
Château Dauzac was one of the top picks in our Wine Team’s En Primeur 2020 tasting, and certainly one of the best vintages of this wine in recent memory. This is our first year offering it in our En Primeur portfolio, so we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Potential Drinking Window 2027-2044

A full-bodied red with ripe-berry, chocolate and walnut character. Soft, integrated tannins and a flavorful finish. I like the way that the tannins fold beautifully into the wine, so that you hardly sense them.
-94/95 Points, James Suckling
