Champagne Bollinger owned estate / Classic Burgundian Chardonnay
chardonnay

savoury

Description

Domain Chanson are owned by Champagne Bollinger and no attention to detail is missed in terms of vineyard work or cellar investment. The vineyards of Pouilly Fuissé are located in the southern part of Burgundy, so benefit from additional sun giving ripe fruit balanced by a crisp freshness. The 2016 vintage saw a cool winter and a warm dry summer, after harvest mid-September, the wine was partially aged in oak casks giving some roundness and texture to the wine.

Tasting Note

Chanson Pouilly Fuissé hints at floral and citrus notes on the nose and palate with some white pear, the palate is well-balanced and precise with a mineral thread against a dense, tight texture followed by a long and refreshing finish.

Chanson Pouilly-Fuissé

The Irish Sun

From the same people that bring us Champagne Bollinger comes this generous and delicious white from the Mâconnais, in the southern part of Burgundy. Floral fragrances mixed with aromas of citrus fruit and pear, and just a wisp of minerality. Partial ageing in large oak casks helps make the palate well-balanced, rich, rounded and complex. Excellent value wine.
