Description

Château Haut-Bages-Libéral was founded by the prominent Libéral family in the 18th century on some of the most distinct terroir in the Pauillac appellation. By the mid-nineteenth century the estate was widely accepted as being amongst the best in the region and today, it is run by Claire Villars-Lurton, the third generation of the Merlaut family.

Tasting Note

Clear muscles on display, speaking to Pauillac. Real depth of flavour also, with a sense of energy and forward motion through the palate, filling out with cassis fruits alongside liquorice root and a clear saline lick on the end of play.
