"Yummy, cool acidity starts the expression with lovely soft, creamy, powdery tannins. I really like the cool Cabernet aspect here with soft dried herbs and crunchy, wet stone aspects. Controlled and refined, perhaps missing a touch more vibrancy and bright fruit, but this is true to Pauillac in a ‘cool’ vintage style. Chewy, grippy, still a little oak impacted on the finish but this will settle."

How To Buy En Primeur In 4 Steps
1. Select which En Primeur wine/wines you would like to order, and pay for them today. Please note that this order can only contain wine from the En Primeur selection and may not include any other web products.
2. You will receive a confirmation email and receipt for your order. Please disregard any reference to shipping/delivery in these automated emails. We will contact you as soon as your wines arrive in 2028 – the delivery cost is included in the price you pay today.
3. In the summer of 2028, you will be invoiced for the Excise Duty and VAT on the excise duty.*
4. The 2025 wines will be bottled and released by the Châteaux in the summer of 2028, and will then be shipped to your preferred location in Ireland.
*In compliance with Irish tax laws, VAT on the wine is payable now and included in the case price of your wine (currently 23%). Duty will be charged at the rate set by Revenue when wines arrive in the country (currently €3.19 per bottle) and duty will also be subject to VAT. For estimation purposes the current Excise Duty rates in Ireland are €3.19 per bottle (€19.14 per 6 bottle case) plus 23% VAT. If the rate of VAT changes before your wines arrive, there may also be a small balance due or owed on the original case price.
No minimum order and if you spend €100 or more we'll deliver your order for free anywhere in Ireland.
Orders are normally delivered within 1-2 working days, (Monday-Friday excluding bank holidays) of you placing the order.
Change your mind? No problem. You can cancel your order at any stage or return some or all of it through any of our stores or we can arrange a collection. Simply contact us by email online@obrienswine.ie and we'll look after the rest.
