Description

This Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot blend from the family-run Château Poitevin is a bit of a gem. The winery is run by Guillaume Poitevin and his wife Natacha, who specialise in creating wines such as this one that have a real sense of place. A fruit-forward blend, it teams blackberry and cherries with a savoury note of warm spice. Try it with duck, fresh pasta with truffles, or cheeses such as Camembert, Brie and Comté.

Tasting Note

Fruit forward with intense aromas and flavours of blackberry and cherries, with a savoury note of warm spice. The palate is silky with velvety tannins, and good acidity. It is fleshy and graceful at the same time as powerful, with good length in the mouth.
