The Bougrier family have been in the winemaking business in the Loire Valley for six generation. Unsurprisingly, they know a thing or two about crafting elegant wines and this 100% Sauvignon is an aromatic gem. Very aromatic – gooseberries leap out of the glass, with rich exotic fruits and plenty of lime zest on the crisp dry finish. This would make a great aperitif, or provide a great match for smoked salmon, sushi, milder creamy goat’s cheese, or grilled sea bass.
