Description

This wonderful Beaujolais has a silky, fruit driven character - and this fresher style of red is very much on trend. The wine comes from Fleurie in the north of the Beaujolais and the "Clos du Chapitre" estate has a history that dates to the Middle Ages, when it was owned by the monks of the Abbey of Cluny.

Tasting Note

This Beaujolais from the village of Fleurie has aromas & flavours of strawberries & raspberries accompanied by floral aromas of rose. The palate is round & silky with light tannins & a long elegant, fresh finish.

The Irish Sun

The wines of Fleurie are the most popular of the ten Beaujolais cru wines on sale in Ireland. They are sinfully gluggable – delivering light, refreshing, and fruity wines. A pale ruby colour, the nose is quite floral, along with notable hints of soft summer red fruits. The palate is soft and fruit-driven with silky tannins and nice notes of strawberry and raspberry fruit, and a dusting of spice. Good and satisfying length. Excellent value Beaujolais. Enjoy with: Light pasta dishes.
