Description
Folie d'Inès is the Domaine's flagship cuvée, bringing together Bordeaux and Mediterranean varieties to striking effect. Domaine Saint-André sits in the heart of the Languedoc, just 3km from the Étang de Thau lagoon near Mèze in the Hérault, with a 75-hectare vineyard planted with 11 different grape varieties. The domaine benefits from a Mediterranean climate tempered by maritime breezes from the nearby coast, a combination that allows grapes to ripen fully while retaining freshness and structure.
The wine is aged on its lees and in large oak barrels, giving it weight and texture without overwhelming the fruit.
The team at Domaine Saint-André suggest serving it alongside grilled meats or pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and oregano.
Tasting Note
Folie d'Ines Red pours a deep, vivid ruby and opens with rich aromas of blackberries and morello cherries, layered with hints of spice and black olive. On the palate it is full-bodied and generous, leaving a lasting and memorable aromatic finish.
