Echo de Château Lynch-Bages is the second wine of the prestigious Fifth Growth, Château Lynch-Bages. The second wine of an estate can often be overlooked, but they frequently represent excellent value for money. The grapes come from vines growing on the same prestigious Pauillac soils and are vinified in the same brand-new winery as the Château’s top wine.
Potential Drinking Window 2024-2034

Seductively scented, deep and dark, ripe black fruits with very soft floral scents. Ripe, juicy and so approachable, such a great texture, mouthfilling in a delicate way. It's a cool style, with blue fruits - blueberries, plums. cherries - but the tannins are so well integrated and underpinned by quite high acidity that this just stays off being austere for the moment (but does give a healthy dose of firmness on the mid-palate). I love the overall feel, really well worked with a light overall frame. A slow burner with classic charm. 3.70pH.”

Tasting Note

The nose shows cassis, blackberry and minty herbs. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with chunky flavourful fruit, firm tannins and good freshness, finishing on a savoury, herbal note.
