Is there any better way to spend a summer's evening than relaxing with a platter of food straight off the BBQ and a nice glass of wine? Well, we can't put the platter together for you, but our Wine Team did choose some of their favourite wines from the around the world to match grilled foods. These wines have the tannins and fruit profile to pair with a wide range of seared meat and vegetable dishes. We hope you enjoy trying this case as much as we did putting it together.

In this case, you will receive two bottles of each of the following wines:
1. Tenute Rubino Marmorelle Rosso, Salento Italy
Like tasting the southern Italian sunshine in a glass, this is a gorgeous, richly textured red with an abundance of ripe fruit: cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry and blackberry along with hints of nutmeg and cocoa. Try this with stuffed grilled aubergine for a perfect pairing.
2. S&R Tinto, Douro Portugal
The name of this wine refers to the two top Portuguese winemakers that collaborated in producing it- Domingos Soares Franco & Joâo Portugal Ramos. It comes from the Douro Valley in Portugal, famous for its Ports, but also recognised for the exceptional quality of its still red wines.
3. Bethany Shiraz-Cabernet, Barossa Valley South Australia
This family-owned estate is run by the Schrapel family. Grown in the hot Barossa Valley, the vines are located on cooler hillside sites, ensuring freshness is preserved in the grapes. This is not a typical big jammy style; there is a lovely balancing acidity keeping it all fresh.
4. Luzón Colección Crianza, Jumilla Spain
This wine shows the great value to be found when you step outside the main wine regions of Spain. This blend of 70% Monastrell and 30% Garnacha Tintorera offers dark, rich bramble and plum fruit, complemented by liquorice and spice from 12 months in American and French oak.
5. Gérard Bertrand Château de la Grange, Languedoc France
The grapes for this wine are organically grown and, thanks to the proximity to the coast, the vineyard enjoys all the benefits of a fresh micro-climate with the cooling winds helping to produce an expressive, highly aromatic wine.
6. Viña Chocalán Syrah Reserva, Maipo Valley Chile
This Syrah is one of the very best coming out of Chile, thanks to the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean on Viña Chocalán’s Maipo vineyards. A tiny dash of Viognier adds a floral perfume and palate texture to the bramble fruit, liquorice and white pepper.
