Description

Geal Albariño is made by O’Briens Wine Director Lynne Coyle MW and the family-owned Lagar de Costa winery in Rías Baixas, Spain where 50-year-old single vineyard Albariño vines grow on the Atlantic shoreline. Hand-picked from traditional pergolas, and following a wild yeast fermentation, the wine was aged on lees in a single concrete egg for eight months, bringing complexity and depth. Light and refreshing with a lingering saline note, this is a perfect wine to pair with seafood.

Tasting Note

Geal Albariño is dry, refreshing, and lightly textured with green fruit notes, a hint of white peach and a lingering salinity making it an ideal wine for seafood.

Geal Albariño

The Irish Sun

Sumptuous, small production Albariño, this wine is the fruit of O'Briens Wine Director Lynne Coyle's work with the Lagar de Costa winery in Galicia, Spain. Rounded and rich, it raises the quality bar for Albariño several notches. Bone dry, refreshing palate. Generous white peach notes and a streak of salinity.
