Greywacke Wild Ferment Sauvignon
Marlborough,
New zealand,
2021
Description
Greywacke was founded by wine pioneer, Kevin Judd, who was the founding winemaker at Cloudy Bay. The estate is now one of the most highly-regarded estates in Marlborough.
The Greywacke Wild Ferment was allowed undergo a slow, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in old French oak barrels. This gives aromas of fragrant summer fruits and pastry, alongside nectarine and yellow apples. The palate is richly textured with flavours of fleshy stone fruit and lemon, finishing with a dry minerality.
One of the truly great Marlborough Sauvignons.
